PROJECT BRIEF

This elegant residence at Water Lily, Adani Shantigram, was designed with a clear focus on simplicity, serenity, and spiritual balance. The client desired a modern home that was deeply rooted in traditional values where every corner reflected calmness, positivity, and order. A key part of the brief was the inclusion of a beautiful mandir area, designed as the spiritual heart of the home. The overall design was to follow Vastu principles, ensuring correct placement, orientation, and energy flow throughout the house.

CHALLENGE

One of the biggest challenges in this project was the client’s request for white walls across the entire home. While white brings openness and purity, it can easily make spaces appear flat or monotonous if not handled carefully. Maintaining warmth and visual depth through textures, lighting, and furniture contrast was essential. Additionally, the client was highly particular about Vastu compliance and object placement, which required several iterations during planning to achieve the perfect balance between aesthetics and alignment. Designing the mandir area demanded extra attention to proportions, materials, and sanctity it needed to feel divine yet cohesive with the rest of the interiors.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The design philosophy centered on purity, balance, and harmony, reflecting the client’s spiritual inclination. The entire home carries a soft, neutral tone with white walls forming a tranquil canvas. To break visual monotony, textures were introduced through upholstered furniture, wooden paneling, and subtle wall detailing. The living room features earthy wooden flooring paired with cozy blue seating and carefully chosen art pieces that add warmth and vibrancy. The bedrooms exude calmness with pastel headboards, soft furnishings, and elegant lighting that enhance the white backdrop. The mandir was crafted with natural wood, golden tones, and intricate detailing, creating a peaceful and sacred ambiance while maintaining visual continuity with the modern interiors. Lighting played a vital role from warm cove lights to soft spotlights that enhanced both comfort and divinity.

COMPLITION

The project was completed within the planned timeline, with meticulous coordination between the design, Vastu, and execution teams. Every inch of the space was planned with precision from furniture orientation to the direction of doors and windows ensuring both aesthetics and energy alignment. The final outcome achieved the perfect blend of modern elegance and spiritual warmth, embodying the client’s vision of a home that feels both contemporary and deeply peaceful.
